Edmonton Alberta Canada
I bought the car in January 2000 in Kelowna
B.C. Canada for $100.00.It had been sitting since 1982.
|
|
|
It had a bad sun
burn, cooked motor stripped oil pump drive gear on cam and blown head gasket), baked Hondamatic trans
that only worked in first, rusted/clogged solid fuel tank and a fried interior. Other
than
the sun burn, the body was super solid and strait.
|
|
I stripped him right down, scuffed
and blasted every bit. Seam sealed, under coated and
wax oiled (rust proofing). He was then repainted with base clear in Biscayne Bay Blue.
|
|
For the power train I went with a built up
1983 EN1 1335 cc. I trashed the Hondamatic and swapped in a 1980 GN 5spd from a Civic
Wagon.
New stock struts ,wheel
bearings, wheel cylinders, calipers, linings, control arms ,axles
blah blah blah....
