Is it possible to swap in CRX suspension and brake parts into say a 1500. I don't have a first gen yet but I wanted to know if the swap was possible. Some of my reasons for this swap would be
1. 4x100 bolt pattern
2. indipendent suspen (natch)
3. 4 wheel disc brakes.
4. easily available aftermarket parts
I really have no idea what I'm talking about.. if that isn't already apparent but I really need to know some of this stuff before buying. Also if anyone has any pics or a webpage for engine swapping for the zc motor please let me know.

All of those four things can be done. The civics already have full independent suspension. Some people have done 4 wheel disk brakes, many people have done the 4x100 bolt pattern. SO it is all do able. About the ZC motor, there are a lot of people doing that too.. just go to Keyword Search and type in "ZC Motor" or just "ZC" using the quotation marks (""). There are a lot of pictures on the board for that motor too I believe.

A friend of mine put the rear discs off a 90CRX onto his first generation 1200, after putting the front on. So it can be done, but be prepared to cut and weld and take the time to do it all right.
Once you cut off your stub axle you will need to mount the hub onto the upright. My friend used the 4 holes which carry the original backing plate, but I don't like the idea of this taking all the load. And all that to have discs in the rear, we don't need them on these little cars, but to some looks are everything!! Hope this helps...
