Hey all you CVCC masters. My roommate and I just came into a free '76 Civic CVCC 1200. The only thing wrong with it? Blown head gasket. I have not yet been able to locate one. Can somebody please point me in the right direction.
Also, the radiator works, but actually needs replacement. Any thoughts on this one.
Thanks

first... if it's a 1200 it's not a cvcc. OR if it's a cvcc, it's not a 1200, its a 1500.
second... local honda dealers still have them, but take a while to get. If it is the cvcc, make sure you get the higher priced one, (flexes a little more when it heats up and cools down with the alum. head), it is worth it, if only to change the head gasket for the last time.
last.. WHERE CAN I GET A FREE ONE????

you can also get a copper one from paeco. they are kinda spendy, but you can use them over and over again in rebuild after rebuild and you will never blow the thing. i think the email is peaco@hiwaay.net i guess they guarrentee the things even if you race.
you can tell if its cvcc or not by the valve cover, a CVCC says CVCC and a 1200 says just HONDA. you'd be better off with the regular 1200 in my eyes. the engines better(acually head) and the 1200's have a shorter nose which i think looks keen.
