I have a 77 1200 in Australia and I want to get my standard carb rebuilt soon. My question is which carb is better, Hitachi or Keihin? I want to keep the standard carb set up and I have everything for both carbs to swap if I want to. The Hitachi will be a little bit cheaper to get done but will it be as good? My motor is rebuilt but only standard and I travel 100kms to work everyday so I also need good economy. So if anyone has any ideas I'd like to hear them.

I really enjoy working on the Keihin. Externally adjustable float and all, it is an elegant design. I've never seen the Hitachi.
