I dont think Charles is in business anymore. I have had a few parts I have been trying to get and or inquiring about for months and months now, No reponse, even after several e-mails.
A few other people have met with the same result.

What is this? I just e-mailed him the other day... no response yet. This is disasterous, I'm trying to import a City Turbo to Oregon (US). Any other ideas where I can turn to?

Damn! Lets just hope he's been really busy. Have any of you tried to call?

If worse comes to worse, I think I remember mention in one of the threads of some other reputable sources for City Turbo parts. It'll take a keyword search and a lot of reading, but I think it's there. Meantime, I'll try calling Charles to see what's up.

Yoshi:

can you help me?

I would like an RS badge for the grill of my car. I know that my civic 1200 is not a real RS, but I would still like the badge.

Please let me know how much it will cost to purchase and ship.

thanks

Ed

Thank you Justin, No rush... I guess i just got all pissed at that idiot that knocked the engine over, and panicked. thank you all for the responses. I've been in Charle's shoes before and know how hard it is to keep in touch. (But don't try and leave us or we'll hunt you down)...But I did find a guy who said he can get some parts from Japan... I'll give him the website name and see if he can help. e

Whew! Glad you're still around, Charles! (I'm also glad you saved me a long distance call to Australia!)

The brakes are absolutely awesome! I had the rotors turned once they were on the car (Honda's recommendation for any rotor or bearing replacement, it turns out) because they were starting to wobble ever so slightly and I wasn't about to let them warp. The first shop I took the car to had to refer me elsewhere because their lathe couldn't handle the job! It got them scratching their heads, as I'm sure you can guess; but they recovered pretty quickly and proceeded to ask if they could drive the car. Spose' it's time to get a brake lathe or get used to having my car driven by every mechanic in SF.

Stopping power is amazing, even when I've got them glowing red-hot. They are far and away superior to the wagon brakes. Best investment I've ever made! (Especially because I can now justify things like sticky tires and fender flares.)

Don't work too hard. Talk to you in November.

Hey Natcho, did you ever get my e-mail? I need your mailing address so I can pay you back for GoodGuys! Let me know, e-mail me at bwilborn2@home.com before the 6th (I'm not going to have e-mail access after that for a few days as I'm moving this weekend).

I'm beyond glad to hear that you're still with us, but I never received an e-mail, maybe there was a problem in transit. Thanks for the reply anyway.

Jacob,
If you want a complete car it can be done. Cars range from $2500 for a bit of a bomber up to $15000 for a top class decent beast. $5000-$7000 should buy you a good standard one. Shipping is pr4ob around the $2000 mark these prices are Australian $$ so halve the cost. Angus' 200hp beast may be on the market very soon with over $40K invested it will be a very good buy for between $10-15K Australian, with 200hp (140hp @ the wheels) it is one very quick car.

This means somewhere between $3500-7000US will have you in a city turbo.

Charles,

30% transmission loss (200hp - 140hp @ wheels)looks a bit high. I would have thought 10 -20% max for a transaxle transmission?

Huh, good to know, but I'm really only interested in a complete motor (though the entire car sounds pretty reasonable). I'd like to drop it into a 1976 1200 that as of now has a full internal rollcage a 5 spd waiting in the wings, and is entirely gutted/stripped and primered. As much time as has already been put into the car, I would like to just expand upon it.... But the more information the better, thanks
Jacob
