I have a 1980 Civic with a 1500 CVCC engine with a melted piston. Before I junk it or sell it off for parts I was wondering what engine options were available. I just had the head rebuilt. Will the CVCC head bolt up to any other block then the 80-83 CVCC autos? Any ideas or help is appreciated.

We've talked here about a number of engines you could put in there. Do a "keyword search" found over at the left. I have a Prelude engine in mine.

As far as your head fitting on an earlier block, I'm not sure. In California, that swap('80 head-'75 block) would fail smog inspections anyway (unless the engine codes are the same).
Have you checked local auto wreckers? My "you pull it" sells complete engines for $150.00. Bottom ends for less.

You make it sound like the car isn't in the best of shape. If the rest of the car is in good shape, I think it would be worth it to rebuild or replace the engine. If it's not, then it just might be better to start with a different one. Only you can decide if it's worth it.
