Thanks Tim
I would also like to know what the series number of this model engines is and if it would fit right into a 80' Civic. And how did the City Turbo differ from the Special X engine?

The City Turbo motor bolts straight into the 80 civic. The engine designation is ER. It is not like any of the other motors in that it has a 66mm bore and a long 90mm stroke. It looks very like a EN or EJ 1300 block from the outside (except for the red magnesium rocker cover, EFI and Turbo hanging off it). It will even bolt up to your gearbox and use your flywheel (if you have a good flywheel and performance clutch). The standard city motor (naturally aspirated, carby, CVCC) produced 70hp (not bad for a 1200) and the turbo version produces 110hp stock. It is easy to find an extra 30 hp through very suble mods on install.

Anyone have an idea where to get the matt red crinkle finish paint they use on the S2000 cam covers? I'm assuming it is similar to that used on the above mentioned Turbo motor?

The motor does bolt straight in but you have to make a new mount on the fire wall for the torque rod. You bolt all the mounts off your standard engine.

my name is David. i found a '94 integra B16A with 44,000 on it for $150.00 and the transmision to match for $90.00. the engine is running about 160hp and it comes with all the computers and wiring harneses for the engine and the firewall can it be made to fit in my '82 civic hatchback? or maybe a better question is will i have to have it custom done by a shop and spend thousands?

You live in NZ right? You have to love the land of deregulated imports. I think you may find the B16A a little on the long side for your engine bay. You may want to do a little measuring though. A shop will charge you thousands but you may want to tackle it. Beware that whilst NZ has pretty lax import laws and you get lots of Hipo Jap cars, their modification laws are pretty strict. Speak to the local authorities.

Assuming it can fit in the car you may be able to just farm out the engine mount fit to a local engineer, then do the rest yourself. You will need custom driveshafts.
