What is the easiest way to adjust the linkage
that controls the relationship between the
primary and and auxiliary carburetor bores?
My engine is a 1984 EW1 (third gen. Civic), but
I assume all cvcc carburetors are similar.

You are going to think this is a joke, but as far as i'm concerned the easiest way is to mount a Weber Carburator. The Honda factory CVCC spec-ed carbs are fine until they start giving trouble, then almost no one, including Honda, seems to know what to do with them. I don't know about you, but I don't like the idea of paying 60+ per hr. for some one to learn on my car.

where can I find a aftermarket carb for my 1500 cvcc???

I own a 83 civic with the 1.3 cvcc and the carb took a shit. i talked with honda and they just wanted me to buy a brand new unit for only $1000! I told them to kiss off and went and had my old one rebuilt. The rebuild is still having problems so im thinking of getting that weber carb. Ive been told that the weber wont work because of the missing aux bore, which enriches the combustion process. Anyone know about this? BAP in Phoenix told me this but i dont know how true it is.

I have been told that an 84-86 Ford 4 cylinder Motorcraft two barrel carb will work just fine with a homemade adaptor plate, with a small bleed groove to the auxiliary port from the primary port. These carbs a easily distinguished by the "built by Weber" under the Motorcraft label on the side of the carb. Beauty of it is, the jets are easily accessible from the top without having to dissassemble the carb. Jetting is up to you as I have not tried it yet. Still trying to find the carb locally.
