Yep.. I'm gonna recore the one you gave me so I can keep driving the car while I get it sorted out. I'll let the rad place do it.. I tried a bit, but I stopped short of ruining anything.. The Rad shop guy is really really good.. he extended the life of my current radiator like almost a year with no issues except now it's got the pinhole leak again. it was the best 10 dollar fix I've found so far I'm planning on going to portland for the civic gathering, so i want to get the car sorted out for good..

If it don't feel like it wants to come out then let the raddy place do it. Give it too much welly and you'll fracture the bottom tank.

How do you get the thermoswitch out of the rad on a 77 civic (EB2). it's a single thermoswitch to the right of the bottom hose outlet. I'm having the rad recored locally, and I want to get the switch out so they can do whatever rust repair needs to happen on the tanks. Would this be a good time to have the switch hole sealed and go to a better rad temp gauge/relay combo? The switch I currently have is hit and miss sometimes, but it's probably just corrosion on the wiring more than the switch.
