The ones that are left seem to be in pretty good condition, however the one I saw had seen better days.

I still talk about civics to my old friend in CA. I keep wishing he'd buy another one. Eventually his old car made to the junk yard after he sold it, but that's when he took the license plate from it to remember it.

I've been making some progress on mine. I've been painting one part every weekend. I'll have to order some new rubber, then it'll be ready to lower it back on the ground. I can't wait to clean my garage!

thats too funny. i had a similar experience lately.
there was a yellow manual civic in my neighborhood that i had my eye on. the previous owner had a big ound system in it and a large purple " mugen "sticker across its rear window. now whenever i went to my parents place, i saw it parked on the side of the road, so it always brought a smile to my face to know that my car had a brother. then it stopped being parked in front of its house, and i started to suspect the worst had happened..it had been taken off to a junkyard.
but then , one morning on the way to work, i glanced a litle yellow civic in my rearview, and without aggresively pullin up to the driver, we
ended up next to each other at the lights. at first the owner was listening to her mp3 player with her headphones, so couldnt really be tooted at with my horn, but when i wound down my window
she noticed, and wound down hers.
me: whats it s name?
her: i havent named it yet, only had it a few weeks!
me: oh really? cool. si it manual?
her: yeah.
me : did you but it from a younger guy, in ( such and such area?
her: yeah
any way the point is iwas greatly releived that it had gone on to anohter fan of the car. hopefully if i run into her again i can let her in on the civic1200 website, which i didnt know of at that time. it put a smile on my face for the rest of the day that exchange, but i can empathize with the " stalker" factor. sometimes i feel like that but its just a passion for the car. ive taken on a mission to save the civiv 1st gen for futere generations!
