Hey Chris.
Check out the Keyword search on the left. This site has many threads about swapping motors, brakes....
There's another site that has great pictures... www.1stgencivic.com
Here's the photo page.

Hello everyone, I have just recently caught interest in the first gen civics. I have a couple 4th gens, and a second gen crx. Im interested in swapping a b16 into a first gen. I have read some of the other posts, but I cant seem to come up with a definate answer. hopefully you can help me out or point me to a related post. I have swapped quite a few motors into other cars and im handy around the welder and torch. So...
From what I understand the sohc d series axles will work with the stock 1st gen civics? If this is the case then why do you have to get custom axles with a b series? The b series axles bolt up fine in a 4th gen if you take the dust caps off.
The civic I might be able to get is a 78 or 79. So there is both a 1200 model and a cvcc/1500 model for those years? And I need the cvcc/1500 for the b series for the extra room I guess. Which is the easiest way to tell which one it is?
Thanks very much for any help, I would like to talk to anyone how has done the b series swap! My email and msn messenger is worm_it@hotmail.com. Feel free to add me to your list anytime!
Chris
