it's a 76, and the guy that restored it got most of the parts over the past several years from a friend who worked at the Scarborough depot .
I met him at a car show about 4 years ago. He hoarded the parts too.... he had about 10 sets of the window weatherstripping (in case his wears out). He said they were going to throw the stuff out... so he took it all and restored his car.
that car is MINT... it's as if it has seen only one season of driving. If you fell asleep, and woke up and all you saw was that car, and no other cars, you would think you were Rip Van Winkle and woke up in 1977 !.
it's late... I need to go to sleep myself. I am beginning to ramble !

I saw it pretty quick Ed. I think it was a 75 and was red. It looked like new. It was awsome! I was in my work van and was tempted to pull a U turn but there was too much traffic.

what colour ? what year ??
was it gold (goldie / brown) 78/79? if so, then it is probably shrek.
was it blue 78/79 ? if so, I have seen that one too... but don't know who owns it. I spoke to him once about 8 years ago, while he was on his way out (in a big hurry) of Swiss Chalet.
was it purple 77 ?? I thought that one rotted away and died a slow , but needed death.
