Here is an update for those interested.
Seems our good friend Tor got part 2 of the build up of the ELF Spyder! From none other than Paul Deutschman himself (one of the designers). Way to go Tor.
Check out all the new info and pictures from Road & Track and Popular Mechanics. Seems the suspension was built by Oscar Jackson.
They built just over 20 of them before the molds where sold.
Oh yeah almost forgot, the other builder/designer is "Kell Warshaw"
Anyway here is the link to the Elf page.

In 1985 a pair of Canadian designers created a kit car based on the first generation Civic. The Spex Elf was a two seater fibreglass convertible with a subframe for added structural integrity. The styling was comparable to that of many Japanese cars of the mid to late 80's. The Spex Elf used the Honda chassis/drivetrain as well as other parts from the donor car. A buildup of the kit was featured in the September and November 1985 issues of Kit Car magazine published by Petersen's.

Hey Justin
Have you seen any pictures for a motor mount for the drivers side by A/T Engineering ?
I bought another 78 civic in July and the cam pully came loose and damaged the end of the cam shaft and wheel. When I checked futher the studs on the block were broken off and some one had at some point tried to fit it. They put in longer bolts and only one barley stays in. I figure the bracket on thr block twisted and chewed upt the timming belt pretty good. Now I know what all that black stuff was all over the inside of the fender.

Do you know if the keyway on a camshaft can be repaired or is it best to just find a new cam. I read in the archives that the gear for the oil pump should be replaced at the same time. I have another cam shaft and oil pump gear but the end has a grove in it from the fuel pump. This is not good. I thought this might get me out of a jam.
