I apologize for bursting in on your post, but I just found this board (have been interested in a first gen for a while now), and can't for the life of me figure out how to post a new topic.

can anyone help me out

awesome looking ride by the way Adman, believe me I wish I was in your shoes right now instead of where I am right now, I still need to find one and don't even know what year I want.

Thanks,
Kit

It looks like if you do, you'll have one fine civ!
So hang in there!!
What exactly are you doing now (or still have to do) that is making you so pessimistic??

Engine work!!! Don't know if I want to finish building a Stroker or MiniMe or (?)
I have a lot of N/A parts already...including a new carb from Stefan, MSD6AL, Pertronix, Etc.

But, I've also been considering building an EV racer instead. 20HP DC motor at 800fpt!!!

Like I said, I'll never get it running... :(

Go for it Adman!

Hey I heard that the 9" Advanced DC motor isn't all that great because you have to have more batteries to push it. So that's why most people go for the 8".

I'll be stopping my a motor store here (oklahoma). I'll see if they have anything for you here. Also I can help you with the bell housing adapter plate when I get back.

You can do it!
Darrell

PS
I want my grill to look like yours. I might paint my bumper black and take off the rubber.
