Look at the exhaust coming out of the rear of an RSX...how much horsepower do they produce? If a larger pipe dia. would gain any real horsepower at road speeds I'm sure Honda would put bigger tubes on their cars. For 80 to 90% of all driving, torque is the ticket.

but what is the best diameter then?

When I put the motor in I bought from Jeff I had problems getting it started. But when the muffler was off it started ok. It had a Weber on at that time. I put the stock carb back on and still have problems getting it started. When the bracket for the torq rod broke it also broke the seal between the manifold and the pipe. The car has new stock pipe front to back.
Now would a racing cam have some impact on this problem. And I plan on putting the 2 barrel Weber back on when it gets fixed.

i hope so.....but watching other topics i see that 1.75 is ok my friend has a weber 40/40 and 1.75 and he tell me that he lost power....but heck i trust in you guys i`ll put 1.75 in it

felipe, if your going to keep things stock, the 1.75 should be plenty, but if you want to modify down the road, then the 2.0 is what you should think about.

I asked Justin a very similar question. I am putting a 2 1/4 exhaust on my wagon with a 1600 accord motor. He told me you will lose some low end torque. My exhaust is hooped so its time for a new one. I am planning on doing a motor swap in the future so I will go with the 2 and 1/4.
