Just the rear torque arm which needs to be shortened a little.
A fairly good write up on the conversion here:

to swap over the engine i think you also have to change a couple of engine mounts

You will never get a city turbo to much more than 200. Due to the design of the head, and the limitations caused by its HIDEOUSLY long stroke after a while pouring more boost in ceases to get you any more HP. IF you were using an EL or an EK (1600/1800) block/head with the city turbo injection, 300hp should be no problem. But some forged internals would not go amiss if you want it to do it more than once =P
20psi is not that far above the 15psi you get with intake and exhaust. I think you will find many city turbos are running around there
And i believe that you should be able to get a city turbo powered civic into the 13's fairly easilly. Maybe not with 100hp stock motor, but 140-150hp is cheap and easy to get....

You can get 300hp from a city turbo, but mabe with the boost at like 20psi. And to run that much psi you'll need lower comp rings, forged pistons, forged rods, metal head gasket, etc. Just everything to make that motor take the pressure.

"with the city turbo motor you can get 200-300 hp depending on how much money your going to invest"
Tell me more about a 300hp ER-t... What mods do i need to do to get 300hp?

The article I refer to was in fast fours, mag. The engine was a 1200 producing 100 hp in the same 650kg to 700 kg body his was manual transmission, and it ran 13.75 I think it was and had a dyno sheet and time run sheet for the proof as the editor requested it. But it was 100 hp on the dyno on roughly the same date as the run. IA will post up the full details of engine when iget the magazine back out of the boxs in my room probally tommorow. But that aside, can the honda turbo motor or the honda city motor go straight into my 1977 no modifications, I only want a good engine with no modification to get it in I heard the accord motor and some later civics I think the 1982 accord goes in and has 78hp.

with the city turbo motor you can get 200-300 hp depending on how much money your going to invest. If you take off the cvcc head and make it crossflow that is a good start. The turbo also has alot of room for improvement. They turbo is so tiny on those little cars. I believe 12 sec pass is not out of the possible. angus who has an injected turbo civic 1200 has now run 13.0 and he will be running 12 sec passes when his motor rebuild is finished.

you will never run 13~14seconds on a 100hp motor,unless its a motorcycle.
with a b16(170hp, 138tq, 1.6 ltr vtec) and 1500lbs(Cvcc) you'll run 13's STOCK.
Anyone that claims to be running 14's in a d16 civic means they sitting in a seat w/ an engine and no chasis. you'll run 15~16's in a bone stock d16a6 crx, and 17's in a 92+ civic hatch.

it all depends. If u put 100hp in a car that only weighs 100kg then hell yes. but if u put it in a 1000kg car i doubt it. HOW MUCH WEIGHT CAN U TAKE OUT???
my car ran 17.3 with a 45mm webber hanging off it. so i presume it had around 75hp or around about there if u include the other mods. If u wana go quick go find a honda city turbo motor. They have around 100hp stock and with a few boost upgrades and a lot of weight removed i believe that you can get it into the 12's and keep it consistently running them

do you believe a 100hp can get a 13-14 second quarter mile in a ciivc, it had one in a magazine claiming that.

By chris ingham (Cingham) (209.179.168.15) on Monday, September 01, 2003 - 12:22 am: |
tranny doubt it, more like the axels broke and there is just spinning. Axels are known to break on hondas, i've broken my share in my crx w/ a b18b
By Alexkayden (Alexkayden) (203.10.110.133) on Monday, September 01, 2003 - 12:03 am: |
If doing burnouts in a normal rear wheel drive car the diff can blow up, in a front wheel drive 1977 civic what blows up maybe transmission or what else.
