Yeah, an out of round tyre will also do it. Get them balanced and you'll find out if one isn't round.
Reco'd CVs should be around $100 - $150 each. They usually only redo the outer CV as the inner ones don't wear much.
Top strut mounts are not easy to come by new. All old ones are a bit cracked and it makes no difference unless they are actually broken.

i rotated the tyres on the left hand side front to back and it helped but there is still a little vibration. I raised the front of the car up on stands before i rotated the tyres and i think the tyre that was on the front not rotating smoothly. i think there is a lump in the tyre. I might change cv joints and then have a look at the bushes. Do you know how much the cv's are per side, and do you know if i can get the upper strut mounts for the front as they are cracked. Im from melbourne australia
Thanks again

I'd be looking at wheel balance, balljoints and bushes as well as the CVs.

I have a 75 Civic sedan 1500 non cvcc and when I drive it on the freeway at 90km/h or more the car vibrates like crazy. I know it has bad cv joints as the make a hell of a noise when turning either way. Could this be the problem or can anyone think of anything else
Thanks
