I've been trying to paint the inside of that long 'box' section that houses the windshield wiper mechanism. Even though I've got open access to both ends (the steel panels that should normally cover them had rotted out) and the wiper mechanism has been removed I still can't get a decent finish. I've tried various brush applicable products but the end result always looks like it's been slapped on with a dirty trowel. Can anyone offer me any advice before I go completely insane?
