most wheel adapters that Ive seen have a 2in offset built into them so you may want to see how far out you could go with the wheel before they rub on the fenders. You may want to think about redrilling the rotors. They do get considerably weaker from what i read though

I have just got a free set of wheels off a friend that has upgraded his wheels. The problem is that they are multi fit ( 4x100 and 4x114.3) and i was wondering if it was better to get them redrilled or to get an adaptop plate to change my stud pattern to 4x100. I dont particularly want to do the stud pattern change @ the moment as i dont have the facilities to do it. Also with the wheel stud adapters i can get a little more clearance on the outside of the gaurads so i am able to fit wider tires.
Has anyone used wheel adaptors before or should i just go to get the wheels redrilled.
