Randy-Treen and I are going away on our "Delayed Honeymoon" this weekend (Thanksgiving). That's this weekend gone. I have to work the following Saturday...so that's the following weekend gone. Probably (HOPEFULLY) around the 24th of October, as long as there's no scheduling conflicts between my world and Colin's.
It's truly a wonderful thing to have a close friend like Colin. Not only was the price "right" on the car, he's in no (big) hurry to get the car out of his garage. If you read this Colin, a big "THANKS" pal!
P.S. Randy, I've got a couple of questions for you, I'm going to drop you an e-mail later.

"... since the car's got a transaxle, there was too much crap in the way and we couldn't figure out how to get the motor out the "right" way."
That about sums up the intelligence and skill level we're talking about.

I'm only just new to this "Old Civic" thing...but I've been an old car junkie since about the time these cars were new (I was 5 when Crusty was built). I will NEVER understand why people insist on destroying old automobiles for sport! The sad thing is, the bastard didn't even have the excuse of using (needing) some of the parts. He couldn't get it to run "longer than 10 seconds," so let's just destroy it!!
I gotta figure out how to link up some Smilies...this post really needs a BIG madface!! What a F**KING RETARD!!!
On a positive note, I had a really fun afternoon with Colin yesterday loading up Crustyparts in the ol' Rocketwagon to bring home. His body should be coming along in a couple of weeks. Afterwards, Colin took me out for my first spin in The Pumpkin....WHOA!!! I could never handle that much car, gents!

Greetings CVCCx2
Couldn't have put it better myself, though I think shooting them would be way too kind!

I just took a look at that link. From those pictures I see that Neanderthal man didn't become extinct after all. It's alive and well and butchering Civics. Call me cynical but from what I could see that was probably an entirely viable project car or at least good for donor parts. To see and be told in graphic detail what they did to that mk1 makes my blood boil. What a needless, needless waste.
(They'll probably end up getting jobs in British bodyshops with skills like that!)
