Do you still have your koni inserts for your 74? If so, any chance you can measure them up? How's the west coast treating you?

There are different part #s for the 73/74 inserts compared to the 75s (according to classicgarage.com) and from searching the archives the two have different IDs. I simply want to purchase Koni inserts but I need to figure out if I have the 74 or 75 casings before I order. I.E. I don't want to recieve the wrong parts. Perhaps this would be a good subject for the knowledge tree thingy.
Once again, thanks for the help.

Nope ther early 75 had a different openable case than the 73-74. And the early inserts will not fit.

I believe the '73-'74 are the only units that have the inserts...both of my '75's had non-openable struts :( What are you trying to figure out? For inserts just grab a set of first gen rabbit ones, they are the same diameter and even shorter than the honda ones :)

Hey Civexpurts,
Are these 75 casings or 74s? There were wet inserts in the back of the car, dry inserts in the front and I didn't get the dern Vin befor the car was crushed. ARRRRRGH Inside diameter of tube is 1.615" and outside diameter of upper strut bushing is 1.611"(arrow). Any help appreciated.
