Thanks Todd...You shamed me into replacing my keyboard..anyway, I think I might have the problem fixed, I removed the top part of the carb and sprayed and cleaned, found the float to be hanging up. Repaired and reinstalled,things seem to working now...

You actually have to work the shafts back and forth as you spray them. Cleaning the outside of the carb isn't going to do much because the gunk isn't on the outside. If it's really tight, you might want to consider taking the four nuts off and actually removing the carb to clean them.
Another thing I run into is the throttle cable. It looks okay, but even if one strand of the cable is frayed/broken, it can cause sticking. I've even seen them fray on the pedal side too.

NOT YELLING,BUT I ALREADY HAVE SPRAYED AND CLEANED THE ENTIRE OUTSIDE OF THE CARB...
THE CAP KEY IS STUCK ON MY KEYBOARD

WHY ARE YOU YELLING? Seroiusly, I had the same problem back when I was a teenager. A little WD-40 on the throttle shafts worked wonders.

DOES ANYBODY OUT THERE HAVE ANY ADVICE OR EVER RAN INTO A PROBLEM WITH THE CARBURETTOR STICKING
OPEN? I HAVE A 78 THAT THE THROTTLE SEEMS TO BE STICKING OPEN WHEN ACCELERATING..IT DOES NOT STICK ALL OF THE TIME ..I CHECKED THE ACCELARATOR CABLE AND IT SEEMS OK?! ALL THE LINKAGE AROUND THE CARB LOOKS OK, BUT I MIGHT BE MISSING SOMETHING. ANYBODY GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS??
