You may want to check the wires with a test light as well. On a few of my lights the crap built up in the connectors and wasnot making proper contact.

try to wiggle around the turnsignal arm, I've come across a few '77 and earlier that have that problem. On Twyla's convertible, she would turn the corner(turnsignal works)she gets on the straight away, and brakes and the left or right tail-light would be out(depending on what the previous turn had been)she would then play with the turnsignal arm and both would work again.

Thanks guys. I found out that is was bad flashers which was weird b/c the fronts would still turn on and would flash on hazards. But I got two new flashers and instaleld them. Guess what??!! I now have brake lights, front and rear hazards, front blinkers that now blink, and a left rear blinker that blinks. The right however, still does not work on blinker. It works on hazards, just not blinker.
Any suggestion on that?
Thanks again

OK, I will try that. I did not even think of just one of the filaments not working. That could easily be it. Also, I will check the blinker relay.

Sounds like its just the bulbs, take the bulbs out and check if the filaments are loose or broken, it should be a 2 filament bulb, most likely the longer/larger filament is broken

Also remember that the side marker lights on the side of the car will not blink with your signals, they are there as marker lights only...

OK, thanks for the help.
Here's what I have on my 77 Civic CVCC. The taillights are solid red with 3 divisions. However, in the inside, there is only two light bulbs in the entire thing. Below the taillight is a small rectangle red light/reflector. On the side of the car, close to the taillight is another small rectangle light.
The rear talelights and the side reflector come on only when the head lights are turned on. They do not come on when the brakes are pressed nor do they come on when the blinkers are activated. The small rectangle ones below the taillight never come on (not sure they are suppose to). Both bulbs in the taillight light up. The fuses are good. When I turn on the blinkers, both front lights work but light up solid. No blinking motion. When I turn on the hazards, only the front work and they both blink like they should. So, beyond headlights being turned on, the rear lights do not work at all.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

the indicators are the orange lights on the rear. :P
unless you're lucky enough to have those all-red three-section tail lights.. on my plain-vanilla 3-sections the top section is the indicator, the bottom two sections are the stop/brake/driving/whatever lights.
Is that what you meant?

Sounds like the rear bulbs are dead, if one of the lights stays on, the circuit is not complete and it will not flash, if both are on solid the flasher is shot, the flashers are located under the dash on the left side of the steering column, one is for your hazards the other is the turnsignal. Do your hazards work?

My blinkers are not working. They trun on, but do not blink. Actually, I saw it blink once, ever. Anyhow, the front lights come on, but there is nothing in the rear. But, since they have never worked, I am not sure which rear lights are the blinkers. Anyone??? I know it sounds stupid, but I can't find it stated anywhere.
thanks
