Its a stock 1974 1200 master with the 1973 Manual brake plate and rod. They are easier to get from OZ than the USA. I have only seen one in the USA.

mmm if that twin reservior is any better than stock and i dont have to use a booster than that might be the way to go.

just that there is hardly any braking power in my car, and the honda that i drove with the boost is really awesome, stops like a real car.

if i do a brake rotor and caliper change to larger will the be better than just fitting a booster?

That the wagon master cylinder? Is that any better than the 1200 master cylinder with only one resevior?

I don't believe Don is running a booster on his race car either.

well I figgured that these things are soo light that you wouldn't need the booster but strong legs (as I have...not to brag, hehe). How do you recurve the distributor? just take out all the vacuum related stuff and plug or stop anything that won't be in use?

I don't run a booster. You should drive your car with out the booster and see if you really want it before you cut any holes in your manifold.

I would have the dizzy recurved so that you don't need the vacuum advance. As far as the power brakes go, the booster does not have a constant vacuum pull on the engine, so the vacuum port could just be on 1 runner. The idea of taking it off of all the runners for a balanced "leak" is a great idea, but just not very easy to do without making the plumbing look horrible.

There are electic vacuum pumps that would also work very well. Buick grand nationals, and I believe late model camaros and firebirds have them as well.

yeah i would like to know as well cause i have the same setup

and the booster is about 2 go on

Anyone know what I can do about vacuum for the brake booster and vacuum advance because the dual dellorto manifold doesn't have any vacuum ports. I can't see drilling into it unless you tap into each runner and then merge those hoses into one port for vacuum so the pressure is even.
Also I heard of using a vacuum pump from an early 80's Chevy Cavalier Cadet, and also theres this electric car parts company that make a vacuum pump for an elecric car brake booster, but all these pumps are too expensive. What to do...
