i did have a 100cc racing kart. I plan to get a shifterkart in the future.. either 125cc or 250cc. Ted, i can tell you right now.. if you even thought about getting a kart, GET IT. its worth every penny... nothing like the feeling of going over 120mph 125cc 6speed shifting kart. or if thats not enough for you the 250cc karts have been clocked doing over 170mph. Karts are like a 'secret' that people dont know, either they think its for kids.. or just ignorant.

Before you buy a first gen civic, understand that it will cost more than you budget to trick it out. Now with that word of warning out of the way, go find a rust free example and start reading everything you can get your hands on. Then visit your local junk yards for parts, and become an agressive expert on Ebay. The guys here know more than we even imagine, but they wont hand out information without your doing the homework first.

We get a lot of transients who wander by asking about the first gen civics, but who, sadly choose not to get greasy themselves.

does anyone know where i can find performance parts for the 1st gen civics? i've always loved these 1st gen civics and am now considering buying one since my honda del sol got stolen the other day. i would really like to know all the 'tricks' you can do to them... like whats interchangeable (motor, suspension, brakes,etc.) with the accord cvcc and the prelude cvcc. im thinking about swapping motors with the 2nd gen civic 1500... is it pretty straightforward or do i have to do some modifying?
