i too tried larger rims, but found that 15" is the best balance between show and go. :

I've had 14-17" on my wagon, right now I'm running 16's The biggest I would suggest is 15's on a hatchback, I've put 17's on '78 hatch, it looked like a matchbox car, you can't lower it at all with 17's and you acceleration would suck with a stock or slightly modified motor..

Yep I know...its just pruely for the wank factor but nearly every modded car here in Oz has 17's or higher.
Even 1969 Toyota Corolla's have been seen with them on.

I am looking for a new set of rims ...im leaning towards 16" rims with 205/40/R16 tyres but looking around the l;ocal car scene everyone has 17 or higher.Ill probably end up getting 16's but still would like to know if 17's would fit.

Pros and cons?
