hmmm, I guess I have never seen one of these early ones before. I guess I should have grabbed the longer prop rod too when I had the chance.
Thx,
Kurt

Bonnets up to about '76 have a little tab with a slot in it that the support fits into. From '76ish onwards they got rid of the tab and used a hole with a hook shaped support. I've got one bonnet on a '76 with both. It may of course be a later bonnet with the tab just welded on at some point, I've never bothered to look that closely at it.

I went to put the older style hood on my '78 today and noticed that it is different than all the rest I have seen. I have a '78 hood, a '77 hood, and this one. From the outside it is identical to the '77 but once I got it mounted I lifted it up and noticed there is no slot for the prop rod, just a small tab with a hole towards the centre of the hood? It looks fine but I guess now is the time to try and fit the lift shocks under there
So are 73-74 hoods different or is this an aftermarket one?
