Thanks Adrian
I'll have a look around over the next few weeks and see if I can get a long line out of a wreck.
I may need to discuss it later with you if you don't mind

You've got several options.
1) You should be able to mate the early single circuit master cylinder onto the booster (will need modifications to the pushrod).
2) Use the later master cylinder and make it a front-rear split instead of a diagonal split. All you need to do is run the line from the rear to one of the m/c circuits and a line from the other to the front with a tee connector. The problem with this is that the master cylinder is set up for a 50/50 split which is not what you want (you'll have too much rear bias). My rally car is set up this way but I have a bias valve in the line going to the rear.
3) Use all the lines from the later model. Basically they are totally different to the early ones. The rear rubber hoses are also different (well one of them is). Each circuit also has a bias valve that splits the front-rear pressure so more is applied to the front than the rear. This is probably your best option. Either pull the long line from a wreck or go to a brake shop and get them to make one for you (not actually all that expensive). It sounds like you have all the front lines (if you don't have some bits I've probably got them lying around somewhere) so that's taken care of and not too hard.

I want to put a power brake unit and dual master cylinder from a 77 civic into my 74. I have all the parts but the only problem is the 77 model ran 2 brake lines to the rear whereas my 74 only has 1 and is joined by a block at the rear taking a line to the offside rear wheel.
Has anyone done this conversion? My choices are: 1)to run another brake line to the rear and use the joining block from the front to access both sides
2) find a 77 at the wreckers and try and pull a brake line out(probably difficult)
The 77 system with the dual m/cylinder and the pressure reduction blocks (which I have)divides the braking into two separate systems.
Any comments pls?
