Anybody?!?!? I was going to use the 77 carb, but I ordered the wrong carb kit and I don't want to wait for a new one.

Okay, how bout this. Can I use the carb from my 83 hatch on my 77 wagon. Problem being the 83 has a mechanical fuel pump, so there's a return outlet on the carb. If I use the wagon's electric pump, can I just block off the return outlet? I was going to swap the whole EN1 in, but that ended in tragedy....
