Ok so let me rephase, with the tires i have on it, it doesn't GO very well, as in it won't get much speed up. It handles well, and drifts and slides are sweet. I think with some good snow tires on it it would do great.

My Civic's never given any trouble in the slushy stuff, always behaved like a proper gent. The worst trouble I had was with a modern Rover metro 114. I was practically crawling down this road, but the wretched thing still managed to spin round 90 degrees, all graceful like, slide slowly sideways down the road and deposit itself right on a junction!

My 79 1200 never got stuck in the snow. I was driving around in a blizard one time and there were no other cars on the road. I found out later that I was driving in the worst part of it.

My Z600 was the best! Sideways around the corners and I could put it exactly where I wanted! Although playing in the snow aided in its rusty demise :-(

The 82 Civic is my daily driver here in Colorado and nothing has stopped it yet!

When I had my 76 it never got stuck in the snow as I always put deep treaded snow tires on the front. The only problem was that when the snow melted the noise from the tires drive you insane, however I only recall leaving the car at the side of the road once to get help when the car slid to the shoulder on a hill and got stuck in a sunken person hole cover. "manhole"
As you can see in the picture my two sweet hearts spent a lot of the time sking.

I rolled my very first civic in slush! I have the newpaper clipping of the car upside down with fake dual exhaust sticking out! I'll have to scan it.
Practicing spraying slush (so you can spray unsuspecting kids)with a light car, with wasted struts is not a good idea!

are you kidding? my civic wagon handles the snow better than any car ive seen around here other than my friends WRX. and maybe those snow plow trucks.
so fun and easy to control ice slides and drifts lol

Are you kidding, I'm in Eugene and my civic handles like crap on the slushy stuff. The ice we've had is alright though, spins cookies and ebrake slides like butter.

They handle excellent in the snow. I use to be the only one getting around besides the monster trucks in the rural mid-west town I used to live in. I did get stuck once when I was parked facing up hill on a ice covered street. I got un-stuck by taking the ashtray out and dumping the ashes in front of the tire not getting traction. Worked like a charm.

Plenty of snow here in Portland! I've already had to make several parts runs for the few customers who managed to show up. I love to drive my wagon in the snow. It just motors along. I see so many other drivers stuck and I just laugh. I'm not having any problem at all. Anyone else love to drive their Civic in the snow???
