i'll have to get a camera and take some pictures, but i have all 3 sets of axels (CVCC,88-91 Civic, Integra Halfshaft and axel). I'm just thinking about the length, i'm ok w/ cutting an axel the sleaving it back together, but if there is a shorter way like just using the oEM axles i'm going to do it

By Parker (24.98.213.4) on Sunday, January 25, 2004 - 04:25 pm:

chris, i am interested in your theory about the b18 axles.

please email me: super_surfer_me@yahoo.com

By chris ingham (Cingham) (207.69.139.136) on Sunday, January 25, 2004 - 02:06 pm:

nice thanks...i figure w/ the axels on the b16 might actually get away with using the half shaft and stock axels from a b18. Might be just the perfect lengt.

Chris, the fuel line is
3/16 steel with FI hose joining it.. not sure on the PSI ratings, but I've never had a problem..

Brian, I'll dig out the wiring diagrams tonight, It's been so long :( I can't remember off the top of my head..

1) yea its on a relay connected to the dash wiring, did u use the whole harness?

2) my 80 speed sensore is like any honda i've ever have had from the crx's to the integras, looks like it should plug right in, other wise its just a cable. the tach is electrical and normally the blue wire off the distributor on most models

Hey Justin,

Finally got that hybrid pig of mine running on the weekend, but still have a couple of issue sthat I hope you can help with.

1. Charging system ELD of 93 Civic (used to turn on the alt light on the dash) Where is it found on the subject vehicle, or can I set up a relay to do the same thing? How did you deal with this issue??

2. Vehicle speed sensor (needed to activate the VTEC and possibly nitrous in the future) I am using the mechanical speedo of the '77, and do not want to (if I don't have to) use the electronic speedo from the newer car. Was doing some checking, and it appears that the 88-91 civs with fuel injection had a VSS and a mechanical speedo. Where is it located? I am assuming that it is on the guage cluster of the 88-991 civ, but was just at the wreckers, and did not see it.... Is it built into the cluster (if you know) and if not, how did you deal with the VSS?

Much obliged.

Brian

Thanks for the pictures Justin.

By chris ingham (Cingham) (207.69.139.135) on Thursday, January 15, 2004 - 05:24 pm:

heheh i bought a fuel pump from an S10, but the thing is that the inlet and outlet are the wrong size, so i'm going to get the marl...errr Walbro pump.
I have a few friends that have plenty of line for me to use. One bought 30ft off ebay for i think 10$. Is there anything that you can't buy ebay?

By Justin (199.60.112.10) on Thursday, January 15, 2004 - 02:25 pm:

When you do the efi swap, you should have a Main Relay, that runs the fuel pump, it will suffice :)

By Parker (24.98.213.4) on Thursday, January 15, 2004 - 10:04 am:

im going to use the original fuel line as a return since it is already there and comes out on the side of the engine i need it on. got a Walbro 255 lph pump($20 brand new!!!) just need some fuel injection line and a filter. im going with hard lines because the auto parts store wants 4.50 a foot for fuel injection hose.

justin, did you use a relay to activate the fuel pump? i have a chassis harness from a crx si that im "grafting" into the wagon and was wondering if the stock crx fuel pump wiring will be sufficient

By Justin (24.69.255.203) on Thursday, January 15, 2004 - 08:50 am:

The pump is located on the rear left of the car(just behind the wheel)the fuel line is run thru the original return line location and follows along the driver's side of the car..

pretty much just a lot of hose, and from what i've searched on the subject any inline fuel pump should do, Justin used one from a ford f-150.

By Parker (24.98.213.4) on Wednesday, January 14, 2004 - 10:21 pm:

hey junior, you doin a swap too? im just about to start tearin my car apart to put the zc in there. gotta make a hard line for the hi pressure from the fuel pump.

By Junior (152.163.253.2) on Wednesday, January 14, 2004 - 06:52 am:

Hey Justin, please get some pictures on how you run the fuel lines and where you mount the external fuel pump. Please email me. Thanks again.

JUSTIN<-

Pllleeeaasseee take pics of your axel process you go through, more the detail the better off I'll be later on =). I have every picture i've seen on this site dealing w/ the swaps in folder, love to keep detailed records.
Yet, as of yesterday the kid across the street is getting a H22 swap for his prelude and as paymet i'm getting the F22 that's in it...maybe first h22 powered CVCC, just use the F22 as a template. I just got a nice new job that pays contingent on how much i work...i'm working 7days a week. Who'd like to see this happen?

Yea that's where my car's going and once Elv gets his car out I may have a better chance getting mine in... hahaha. And Yes Elv Justin wants it to goto Carline to get them to finish it off, timing and exhaust and stuff... Once it goes there you'll be able to drive it out of there. Give me a ring sometime, or I'll call you, I have some questions for you also.

By Elv (Elv) (24.69.255.203) on Monday, January 12, 2004 - 10:44 pm:

ok will. i have to get my car out of andres. i haven't had the time to send it to carline. i think that's where justin wanted it sent to. need the exhaust done.

I have a d16a6 sitting around, all the mounts are made for the install but like I said I'm waiting for the body shop to take my car in.

Justin I will need to send you my harness soon, what do you think?

By Kurt (207.6.47.162) on Monday, January 12, 2004 - 02:18 pm:

Awesome...so what motor you running now?

By Yellow78CVCC (142.179.114.182) on Monday, January 12, 2004 - 11:59 am:

Hey Kurt

I'm Wil, I'm keeping a Low profile... hehehe... no. I've had the Civic a LONG while time as Justin might tell you, we did a 81 prelude 1.6 motor before. I striped it and I went back to school and it's been sitting in my garage for close to 4 years now. With any luck the body shop will be taking in my car for the final paint soon and I can finish it this year. I'm trying to aim for HIN Seattle this year too.

By Justin (24.69.255.203) on Monday, January 12, 2004 - 09:04 am:
