What I need to build, is a minimal weight and sized trailer. I want to know the dimensions to build the trailer to size.

I'm currently looking at a leaf spring axle since a 2000lb-er can be had for $110.00 hub-to-hub. I know what you're talking about, but haven't found a comparable price for the weight capacity.

If you use a standard 8ft traler axle it will clear. I know because my trailer has a lot of room with the civic on it. Also consider a spring bar trailer axle (the springs are wound inside the axle beam so you dont have the height of the leaf springs). Its allot lower so your not wiping off air dams or header
