Not without modifications to the mounts. I have mounted the 77 bumpers to the 78 (again with modifications) but I have never heard of someone going the other way. The all chrome bumpers on the 77 and earlier cars tends to be the preferred bumpers

They are completely diiferent right down to the mounts. The easiest way to tell is that the 77 bumpers (and below) were all chrome whereby the 78 bumpers had plastic caps on the end. The 78's also used bumper shocks to munt them wherby the 77 bumpers had a rebar type mount. Both can be adapted with some welding and/or drilling.
