there you go hugh johnson. Thats the entire write-up on it. I am still curious if there is enough space in the 1200 engine bay fora 2.l. If so Sean from 3geez is making a turbo setup and my B20a has a turbo setup waiting to get the engine rebuild going so i can install it. If anyone has any questions about the accords just ask Ive read alot on hem over the past 5 years.

Mike, they just convert between metric and imperial units to get those numbers:
19 kg*m * 3.3 ft/m * 2.2 lbs/kg = 137 lb*ft

Oh forgot to add that you can mate the 1st gen teg tranny to the A20a bellhousing for different gearing. Not sure how it works out but thats been done a few times.

actually justin thats the Euro B20a. The JDM is rated for 160 HP and 137 FT lbs. Its kinda weird if you ask me but yep those are the numbers.
If axles are the limiing factor than Id be willing to try it. Will the big 2.0L fit in the 1200 or would you have to have the CVCC 1500 for the extra engine space.
Combustion room type Roof shape
Valve gear DOHC belt driving inhalation 2 exhaust 2
Entire aerodynamic volume displacement (cm 3 ) 1,958
Inside diameter x distance (mm) 81.0~95.0
Compression ratio 9.4
Fuel feeder type Electronic fuel injection system (HONDA PGM-FI)
Fuel pump type Electromotive system
Fuel tank capacity (L) 60
Lube capacity (L) 5
Lubricating system Force system
Ignition device type Full * transistor system
The highest output (PS/rpm) 160/6,300
Largest torque (kg-m/rpm) 19.0/5,000
this is a direct copy from an online manual. Im not sure how the 19 kg of torque gets to 137 ft. lbs but it should. I pretty much live on the 3geez board. Ive followed ever post for the last 5 years at least.
Oh if you want pics or rough sizing just ask I have over 100 pics of the swap and cars there in.

check out www.3geez.com It's all about the 3rd gens.. There is no tranny conversion for the A20 set up you would need the tranny and custom axles..
Mike the B20 is only rated at 137hp..

there was a car for sale on ebay a while back that had that swap done. If you find any info on this please let me know. I have a 88 and 89 accord that are getting JDM B20a engines in them giving me a carbed and FI accord engine left over Id love to use. I would also look into the JDM B20a. Its a direct replacement for the 3gen accord. It has 160hp and 137 FT LBS TQ. DOHC. I have lots of pics and info if you need any on the A20a1 or A20a3 accord engines and tranny combos. kwikcoupe@juno.com
