Don't bother with the head. If you stick it on a standard EB1 bottom end you'll end up with bugger all compression and simply lose half the power you had to start with.
The Keihin carbs are a different configuration to the Hitachis, essentially interchangable though will probably have sightly different jetting. Hitachis were only used on the EB1s, then they changed to Keihins.

I found a EB3 at the wreckers in Sydney yesterday and took the head. It was also fitted with a fairly new looking Keihin downdraugh carb. Is this standard for an EB3? All the cables were on the opposite side to my EB1 Hitachi carb.
I also was able to take all the brake lines so to fit the brake booster and compensation valves.
Is there anything else I should get for my EB1?
