81 (en1) outer CV will mate to an EB1 shaft and fit into EN1 hub which will press into eb1 knuckle and accept 88-91 crx disc.

BTW, here is a link to a picture of the last 4x4 conversion I did. It is a 1981 MB turbo diesel wagon on a Nissan 720 4x4 frame. I put 25K miles on it after I converted it then sold it to a guy in So. CA. That's his daughter in the picture (my six year old daughter still gives me grief for selling it). http://mbz.org/

I don't have any input, but I'm curious about the other conversions you've done. Anything interesting?

I recently bought a 1974 Civic hatchback with a nice body for $500 and a complete 1990 real-time 4wd wagon with a hammered body for $225. I bought both of these with the intention of converting the '74 to AWD. My first hope was to be able to use the '74 front axles with the AWD transaxle and then maybe use front struts from some later Honda/Acura for the rear and anchor the tie rods. The track is wider on the '90 and I was thinking perhaps I could move the rear diff back enough to shorten the effective length of the rear halfshafts which would have the added benefit of moving the diff back behind the bulkhead to which the '74 lower control arms bolt. Since finding this board I have read about the problems with using CRX front struts. Assuming I could correct for the camber in the front, will a gen 1 front shaft mate with a CRX hub? How about a gen 1 Integra? Anybody have an idea about how a CRX or Integra front strut might work in the back of a gen 1 hatch? I would also consider using gen 1 front struts front and rear and keeping the 4x120. Would a gen 1 inner CV joint go into a 90 transaxle? I think that part of the transaxle is the same for fwd and awd on the 90. BTW, I have done 5 other significant conversions so I am aware of the expected and unexpected difficulties that can arise. Any input is greatly appreciated
