Hondabond? Be careful making that gasket. If you use thick gasket paper it will throw the clearances off inside the pump.

I got some gasket paper and I am going to try that. I will call about the gasket if I am unsuccessful with the gasket paper.
Thanks for asking.

Hey Mike
Were you able to find out if they have that gasket?
I was just wondering.

Hey slopitch,
I checked with my local dealership for that gasket and this what they told me.
The gasket # 15105-634-000
Fits 1973 - 1979 Civic 1200
This part is discontinued from Honda. I had them do a national locate (something Majestic doesn't do) and was able to find several dealerships in the USA that show to have it in stock.
Try this one in CA. 510-445-5300
Let me know if they don't have it. I have other phone numbers I can give you.
The gagket for the 1975 - 1979 1500 is still available also.

can't you just make your own out of gasket paper ?

I am told by Majestic Honda that the thin paper gasket in the oil pump is discontinued. I also struck out at the local parts stores. Do I need this gasket? Or should I just put it back together without the gasket?
Any advice is appreciated.
