The 82 - 83 Civic center console fits.

Hi Jonathan

Yes, it's the one under the dash. Actually the one that goes round the gearshift on Hondamatics was also an optional centre console for manual transmission cars. I need the 'under-dash' console because while I have the Pioneer stereo I don't have anywhere to put the cassettes!

Keil, do you mean the center console that wraps around the handbrake and the shifter, or the one that meets up with the bottom of the dash? It may be different in the UK, but there's already the one that wraps around the handbrake and shifter on the Hondamatic cars in the US. If you're talking about the one that meets up with the lower part of the dash, the ones from a 5-speed or Hondamatic car are the same, the 4-speed cars were a little different.

Hey guys

I really want to fit a centre console to my Civic but there's more chance of discovering Atlantis than finding an original Mk1 Civic unit . I was just wondering if any of you had fitted centre consoles from other vehicles, like a CRX unit perhaps? I'm wondering how difficult they would be to fit and if any modifications would be necessary. Also, my car is Hondamatic so would there be any problems with a centre console fouling the gear shift/ handbrake console?

Cheers
