The number on the bearing is right compared to the box. The machinist says the hub is good and round, the machines surfaces are fine. The reason it's all messed up is because the front caliper had seized up and tore the crap out of the rotor. the cv boot was also shot.. the front driver's side has been rebuilt recently.. the rotor still looks like a machined surface and the cv has new boots. The number on the old bearing we pressed out, however, does not match the new one.. I was worried that it was some kind of funny honda part. I may just need a new hub.. in that case I'll watch the classifieds..

The doors 75/79 have bracing (crash protection) in a different place but they weight about the same and will interchange easy. If your taking USA Civics. In other countries some of the early Civics had doors with no crash bars. One of my 73 parts cars was the same way but the door could have been a replacement. The basic shell is very close in fact one member I think it was Tod used a cherry late shell with a early front radiator support and valance to make his early civic.

Doors, hood, bumpers, front valance, bumper mounting points, grille, trim around grille, moulding on the front of the hood, and probably a few smaller things that aren't too obvious. The basic shell is probably pretty similar, so if you're looking for patch panels to cut from one, they should work.

What difference is there between a 75 1200 body and a 79? I know that the hood is diff but what else? Is there a diff with the front lower valence? If I remember the doors have more bracing on a 79. Is that correct? Thanks
