Thanks Don... I think you were right.... I found one of the samaller of the 40 or so hoses from the carb to the air cleaner off... seems to be fixed.

Does it have an air pump? On other makes I have left off the hose to the air cleaner and it does make a funny noise on decel. Take it back reputable shops have warranties.

Just got my 76 cvcc all tuned up and it's running great... revved her out a little this afternoon and a bit later a funny noise started ... it begins after I run through any gear and let off the throttle... sounds like a fan coming on or electric fuel pump... goes away if I get back on the gas , even a little or if I just coast and idle, it suddenly "turns off". This occurs in gear or out, clutch in or out...

Any thoughts?
