Jus simple things like adjusting the idle as mentioned above etc.

Common problems:
Rust
CV joints in the axles
Rust
Starters occasionally
Rust
Timing belts on the early 1200's
Rust
Head gaskets on the CVCC's/1500's
Rust
Transmission if gear oil was used instead of of regular oil
Rust

That's about it, these cars are pretty reliable if they're well maintained. Just keep an eye out for rust.

My mate and I bought a car for $100 each, its an old 1977 Honda Civic.

All we know about this car is:

1.2L engine
Front disc, rear drum brakes.
670kg
60bhp engine

Its not roadworthy, but it runs like a dream. What are some common problems with cars like this? I've never had any experience with this kind of thing, i dont even know how to adjust the idle yet, which needs doing.
