Were thinking of doing the same camber job, but we think shortening axles will be horrific in cost! how much was it to get yours shortened?

thanks

Yes that head looks like my head

Mine plugs are equally spaced as well. The motor is an 81

Pic (not mine)

I believe the 82-83 have the exhaust ports evenly spaced out. Whereas the head like mine is the same port spacing as the CVCC(1500).

The engine runs fine it revs to just over 6000rpm in all gears with no flat spots or anythimg like that.I dont know the jetting they are off some sort of alfa. I just put kits in them and tried then. I did have to fit 2.25mm needle and seats to stop fuel starvation on fast left hand corners.
The EK has a 77mm bore and a 94mm stroke. I use an early EL head and that has the spark plugs equally spaced.

the EK has a 77x94 bore/stroke. The EL came out in two flavours: one with a bore/stroke combination of 74x93mm and a later version with a 77x86 bore/stroke.

I'm under the impression that the earlier engine has siamesed cylinders, so if my EL has spark plugs that are equally spaced apart, does that mean I have the later engine? Or is it the later engine with the siamesed cylinders?

I thought the crank and rods were the same btw the two motors.

So how does the car run/drive with the dual carbs. I run the EL motor (8 valve also) and have a dual Dellorto 40 set up for the car that has not yet been installed. Happen to know the jetting of the carbs?

By EK1751 (144.134.55.158) on Tuesday, April 20, 2004 - 06:47 am:
