The engine from a 80-83 Civic is a good simple swap into a 79.Where are you located?

I have a 79 civic ran great, key word is RAN. I took it to saskatoon area for some Junior A hockey then Edmonton, anyone that knows the weather and road conditions understands its a tad ruff for a little car :D. Anyways my 1200cc is dyin on me after only 120,000 km however well earned they maybe i am having troubles with it not wanting to turn over and poor idle issues.

I am wanting to engine swap and just wanting to know about what engine to go to, and so forth. I have some ideas about 1.6 litre accord engine from a guy i met today Scott and his civic.

Really i just want some suggestions and so forth, so thanks for anything you can place forward.
