Try running a clear filter on the line and see if gas is actually making it to the tube at all.. could be a clog somewhere else in the rats nest of engine tubes.. you may want to rebuild the carb again just in case something got overlooked..

Have you tried pumping the gas really hard while starting (ie press the gas pedal many times while starting)? I find that helps in old chevys when they refuse to start...

it wont enter the carb. ...

I dont think so...I put everything like it was supposed to...Cuz the pump works...just that gas like stays like stuck where it enters the carb. I take the fuel line off and gas is like pressured in the line....You guys have a Carb. Diagram?like a blown up image? It's a stock carb. just incase...Thanks.

Hi Guys/Girls.... I know You ppl. could help , Cuz' this forum is big and has alot of posts. Anyways...I have a '79 1200 , and well... I had a prob. with the fuel pump earlier, changed it, and that works fine. Now, After I changed the Fuel pump, the carb. got over filled with gas, the car started and stayed on but then died. Tried to turn it on again and it wanted to start and nothing, just cranked. So I bought a complete carb.kit. You know all of the gaskets.Mounted them,Mounted the carb. on the engine, connected all fuel lines, now I try to start the engine and it's like fuel won't enter the carb.Any1? PLZ!. And Thanks.
