Charles,

Well spotted! I suspect it's really a Civic with lots of original Mugen bits.

The pics in the mugen civic are two different cars. Apparently from my cobwebbed memory the true Mugen civics only came out in RHD. Several were converted to LHD but these still had the old RHD windscreen wipers which point the other way. Both the pictured cars are factory LHD. Obviously they are different cars as well not one restored for road use. I also didn't think the Mugen cars came out in the 78+ guise such as the race car.

How fat do those big body kits look though? Mark Moddejongen is a bloody expert when it comes to these vehicles though. Could anyone make out the dry sump system on either of those engine bay pics?

if i had lots of money... sure...

or ,

if I had SOME money... I might go to $20,000 shipped to my door.

maybe I could sell my 89 accord, and put a down payment on it ! :-)

Sure it's a lot of money, but it does seem to be the real McCoy. You know of another one for less?

Not that I'll be buying it, but it's nice to know that something like this still exists. And at that price a new owner is likely to look after it too, so it will be maintained for posterity.
