No.

The bushes at the gear lever end don't wear out too much and they are replaceable. The thing that wears out (apart from the roll pin) is the bushes in the uni joint at the gearbox end. It's a sealed unit so not really fixable (can be done but easier to find a good second hand one). If the shift rod sticking out the back of the tranny is worn (also not uncommon) there isn't much you can do as you need to pull the tranny apart to replace / repair it.

It's the linkage its self , the one that comes out of the trans. :)

You were advised weeks ago to change the roll pin that connects the linkage to the shift rod in the gearbox. Have you done that yet?

Hey Guys/Girls... I'm going to Chicago tomorrow for like 10 days...Any1 got a shiftrod linkage in good conditions...cuz mine are bad. I put it on gear, but the stick moves around as if it weren't.I think it's the bushings, but someone told me the linkage was not made to come apart, so I guess I need both rods...I have a '79 1200 just incase. And if so, how much? and any other parts available? Thanks. :)

William
