What radiator are you using Angus?

You don't need that big a radiator. If you must find yourself an aluminium radiator for the tiny bit of weight you'll save, then find one that'll fit in the standard spot. Otherwise just get a 1500 3 core one and modify it to fit.
Then get yourself an oil cooler ... it'll do far more good than a big radiator.

$5 radiator? awsome

I've observed two radiators that will probably work. One is an aluminum radiator from a '92-'95 Civic, not sure what engine it specifically came with, I'm quite sure it came with the 1.5L. It's a nice tidy little 1-2 core aluminum radiator very close in dimensions to stock.
The other is from a '99 Jetta (1.8L N/T, I think). With the factory plastic end tanks it stretches the entire length of the front grill area with .5"-1" to spare. The inlet/outlet are on the correct side, and the height is almost exactly the same as stock. I picked up the Jetta one on Ebay for $5.00 (USD) in great shape.

yep glenn... I was planning just that...
I'm already using the Aluminium block of an EB1.. and I am looking out for an Aluminium Radiator (preferably a Honda) that would be large enough to cover the front grill area...? or maybe that isn't SO necessary... but definately aluminium.
This engine will be running probably as much stress as Adrian's Mugen Civic might've been...(max revs = 9000-10000 rpm)
At these rates, my car will need significant cooling....
Any ideas to keep my engine cool?

u can start by removing the sound proofing from all over the floor, take out every last bit of u dont need, spare tire, jack,
dont bother with the heater core for the effort it is to remove it and the functionality it has on a street car better to keep it
then you could start making heavy components out of aluminium e.g. radiator

Don't forget that Australian Civics are quite a bit lighter than the US models. A manual Australian EB3 should weigh around 710kg, whereas a US one will weigh nearly 770kg.

no probs... i worked it out....
a bit heavier than my initial judgement of the car, but still lighter than most things on the road today
what are some methods in reducing the weight of this car? (but still being roadworthy)
