I am embarrased to be an American with this guy representing us. No wonder they are having problems in Iraq prisons if this is the kind of soldier we are sending there. Brian took over a year to get MY cam gear done but it was worth the wait. Sure I bitched & e-mailed repeatedly but I don't think I was this much of an A**H**E. Both pictures he posted bore a striking resemblance by the way. I say ban him from the board, we don't need to waste our time on his BS!

Puff only 20% of the Active Army is over there, not counting other military services nor the reserves, so that number gets smaller if you do. But everyone will get their chance if they stick around long enough. Bruce I go back to Campbell this Fall, back to the good old Infantry units on the hit list to rotate there shortly.

A little about me...

I'm an E-5 who is working to enter a commissioning program in about a year. I studied my ass off for promotion while going to school and I feel confident I made E-6 this year. Each service has a unique mission and changes are made with every new commander. Problems arise and are settled differently in each service. The average rank sew-on time is different for every service. When retainability is a low, promotion and pay is given faster. I don't believe any of the services are trying to catch up or compete against each other. There's enough opportunities and problems within each service for them to compete against themselmselves. I joined the Air Force for many reasons and I'm very thankful for the opportunities that I have in life. I'm between semesters in school now so I have more time. I love the military and I'm glad you enjoy it too. I usually go to church every Sunday and I volunteer as an Awana leader to teach kids bible verses and games on Wednesdays. I drink about a once every 6 months and usually one beer is too much. I enjoy running 5k races and working out when I can. I bought my home and work to increase equity. I'm no financial guru, but I try to manage my IRA and my kids' IRAs. I only bowl with my kids--see the bumpers?

I've done the year-long Korea tour and I might go to Iraq next May, but I know I'll be there eventually.

JMS, I'm not trying to offend you, but defend myself. Go ahead...shoot me down. I can take it.

oops that was supposed to be posted hours ago. Didnt see your post Bruce before reposting mine

By Puff (24.81.181.104) on Friday, May 28, 2004 - 11:29 pm:

ya I know nobody really wants a thread like this to continue but I just cant help myself. JMS..you are the one thats whining. I wonnder how the army would have done without air support? Your chosen field doesnt doesnt have the brainpower to be in the AF...hmmm lets see...point a gun and pull the trigger...or...land an F-16 on an aircraft carrier. Gee...whats more complicated? You talk awfull big for a guy whos here working on his car instead of being over there with the rest of your boys!

By bruce (67.200.12.157) on Friday, May 28, 2004 - 08:59 pm:

ok. I have been quiet during this whole mess but gonna step in here. I am retired navy...3 tours in the gulf, played on the "line of death" in Libya and so forth.(and yes I watched people die)Do not knock our military people, whom ever they are, Navy, Army, Air Force or Marine...we go where they tell us and do what we have to. I think that actually perturbed me more than anything. Bryan did a run of gears for people on here, after it was done more people wanted them....thats cool, but we got to realize that he is doing it on his own time, tooling up to continue to do it takes time and money out of his own pocket because he was doing it at his place of business. If your not happy with the time bryan can just send the gear back. Lets stop the insanity and close this thread down. If you have an issue with someone, lets try not to air out our dirty laundry on the board. And JMS....tail light is still available....just let me know.

By jms (68.107.182.165) on Friday, May 28, 2004 - 03:42 pm:

Wow, Don is the only one that actually had something intelligent to say; for once. Complete turn around of your usual bashing based upon your perceived know all, tell all knowledge of everything. Try reading everything first Kam, and then do a spell check. And save your anti-American rhetoric, if you like them so much go join the cause so my friends can put you in their sights. Since you are so patriotic and mature you’d think one could come up with a better word than retard. Heres a quick helpful hint, thesauruses and dictionaries work wonders.

Darrell, let me guess, bitter 15 year Air Force E-5 perhaps? Tell someone that you out rank. And keep your typical AF whining tattle tale stuff where it matters. As in the Army commanders have more important things to do (the war being one), and we take care of our own. Gee, and not one AF casualty so far I believe, sorry but your chosen service has a long way to go to catch up to the challenges a soldier faces everyday. Till your in our shoes please don’t act like you can ever relate. We all know enlisting AF was the easy way to go. So go polish your bowling ball and get ready for the big night out with your beer buddies.

Bryan what’s funny is, I dont get any responses from you after even the slightest polite inquiry, but when I put some interesting stuff up for sale, BEHOLD, you come out of your shell and email me. Not to mention if you are a business man, you didn’t even remember me or that I sent it to you. I took the time to send you a gear, if you arent going to do it for almost a YEAR, let someone know geez. Otherwise I got the rise I was looking for. Additionally my projects took a turn since then and I have found a different gear to boot. Just thought you might want to fulfill what you said you were going to do. There is a thing some people like to do, its called common courtesy.

Everyone else that posted...well...uh...whatever, Ive been around the board for a while, since before I went to Korea which was in 2000. My ebay name is superior and my name here is great with anyone that actually matters. Too bad I dealt with a few no tact boneheads. If you are in the 1 gen scene and internet buying/selling not everything works out perfect. Most of us have learned this, you should too.

Roger I knew you were bitter, but in the end you turned down a full refund (took a partial though), and you have a nice header that most still desire to get.

Jacob I used to think you seemed cool, Kyle never dealt with you, I guess I never will, until I sell a part someone wants Im sure. Then the ass kissing starts, is that why everyone has a deep loyal lusting love for Don? Colin you had some smart things to say, and some dumb ones. Andrew Fatass is it, who are you and where did you come from?

But whatever I still have a sweet Honda, and still like everyone else here, could care less about the eager ones so quick to interject there thoughts where it doesn’t belong though. To all of you, can you handle THIS!

I'm an Australian and can't believe a retard like that can represent his country. JMS you seriously need to see a psychologist. You have the attitude of a thirteen year old. And telling Bryan to go live with the Iraqi's! What's that ment to mean? Are you racist? They have reasons for being f--ked up. But I still rekon most of them are better people then you!

By the way I have a EB1 civic with a city turbo engine that dose a 14.6 quater mile!

By Don (199.2.139.198) on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 - 07:57 pm:

Jared I don't think you bothered to read my post at all from your accusations. I'm the opposite! I think that the man who put on the uniform of the US Armed Forces should hold himself to the highest standards. Sadly its not the case in some circumstances . Sometimes there is a small worm inside the uniform and they expect ( hope?) the stripes and metals to compensate for their lack of character and resolve.
Congrats on you achievements you must have some character as the US Army is hopefully not that desperate to promote morons to NCO status ... but try applying what ever discipline you used to get your rank to other areas of your life and you will be amazed at the results.
I don't want to see you booted off the board, you were alright for a long time.... just think of the display here and get some self discipline maybe grow a little towards the person you want to be. :)

By Andrew Fatseas (203.63.44.193) on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 - 06:28 pm:

Sorry to point out the obvious, but if you just ignore the retard he will shrivel and die...

By Darrell--Arizona-- (68.225.213.229) on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 - 05:43 pm:

Staff Sergeant Stokes,

I think we've got enough "sh*t." In fact I think your commander will have enough too when he sees it.

Way to represent the army and the United States.

Take a hint...stop now.

By Adrian (Mod_Adrian) (165.228.11.61) on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 - 03:56 pm:

Hey, wow ... I still seem to be able to do some moderating here.

I'd kill or lock this thread if I could but it doesn't seem to let me do that sort of thing ...

By Quikrick (Quikrick) (63.204.16.66) on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 - 02:34 pm:

Did you guys notice that stool!! The owner of that SH*T needs to introduce some fiber into his diet. I would start with at least a couple of apples a day and certainly stay AWAY from fast food!

By farenheight101 (24.69.255.203) on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 - 01:19 pm:

Hey jms, Have some respect...seriously! Didn't your dad give you five on the ass for saying •••• like this? Your turning out like that Andrew punk. Just because your gear hasn't been sent, you can ask nicely and respectively and it will be appreciated and dealt with.

Your just going nuts and gotta step back and see what your doing to the civic board. Don't burn your bridges cause these are the only ones in the world.

C'mon...be like a Civic, respective and reliable. Not like a domestic, all loud and sloppy!

Colin...

By Jacob (65.113.241.30) on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 - 01:17 pm:

Can we get this jack-a** booted? I don't want to be on a board with this jerk-off, what are you like 5?

By Bryan (66.32.72.51) on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 - 01:03 pm:

"No Bryan you havent, youve just taken forever, but now that your attention is got..."

Now that my attention is got???

For you to post that I ripped you off, and that I suck, is not a good way of getting my attention. I will never make you a gear with comments like that.

If you have been on this board for 4 years, then why did you wait till AFTER I made the first run of them to get in on it??? I have done a run of EB's, and a run of EK's. Now for all the guys that slept, they all of a sudden wanted EB's. You will have to wait......unfortunately. I made them because I was doing 1 for myself at the time. I figured I would do a favor for some of my civic buddies......if they wanted one too.

Where is Adrian, to moderate this kind of crap.

By kyle (158.165.137.203) on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 - 12:18 pm:

JMS you're a dumb ass and if you get this pissed off over an adjustable gear, then you need to re-evaluate your life...

KW

oooh that comment pisses me off, Don your a treasonous fucking scumbag flag burner hippie draft dodging queer, you should take Nick Bergs place

By jms (68.107.182.165) on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 - 11:44 am:

No Bryan you havent, youve just taken forever, but now that your attention is got...

Nice to see how you feel about the USA/Armed Forces Don. Your pretty sad, save the Jar-head stuff for the Marines. I work with the intel, most have higher IQs than your extended family put together, dont know what kind of grunt you were.

You are probably the bitter type I see get kicked out routinely upset over something the military did to you rather than vs. vrsa. Or just to incompetent to make it up the ranks. Why dont you go live with the Iraqis, bitch.

Not to mention I made E6 in only 5 years, and if you go the route-commissioned officers make more than a comfortable living.

Dont know where’ve you been but Ive been on the board for 4 years at least.

Lastly everyone is pretty familiar with the fact you cant keep your mouth shut, I wonder if you have the balls when people are actually in front of you.

But good job protecting your buddys so called good name. BTW its fake hit-say.

PS Don do pushups!

By Bryan (66.32.72.51) on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 - 08:01 am:

I have ripped off noone! If you can get a gear done elsewhere for that price, then have at it!!!

I know it has taken quite some time, but to stop work (making $75 an hour) to make these gears at $20 an hour, takes my extra time. I have none of that at the moment. Everyone else has been patient, how 'bout some from you too.

Posting a pic a of a pile of crap is the most childish thing I have ever seen on this board.

I'll be happy to send you a gear back.

By Don (199.2.139.154) on Monday, May 24, 2004 - 09:20 pm:

Jms You don't protect anyones freedom. I was in the armed forces too and the jokers who used that were the people that couldn't get a job anywhere else so they joined up out of desperation...expecting some kind of respect even when they did not earn it. In the Armed forces there are useful people and the not so useful just tagging along trying to get there next pay-check. I would just stop.... your not doing yourself any favors by posting jar-head logic here.
Everybody makes mistakes :) I dont really mind that your gathering info just like the rest of us, but come on! Your just sinking faster into the stupid pit as you bash the regulars.

By Puff (24.81.181.104) on Monday, May 24, 2004 - 07:08 pm:

LOL I so enjoy watching ppl make fools out of themselves. Whats better than that is watching them try to justify their comments only to make themselves look even worse.

By jms (68.107.182.165) on Monday, May 24, 2004 - 06:25 pm:

lets also mention the header (my spare I parted with) turned out to be nice, most would people would be appreciative, also offered full exchange, and I wasnt sorry enough to hunt down the the active user still on this board and complain until I got a refund

By jms (68.107.182.165) on Monday, May 24, 2004 - 06:21 pm:

oh before you jackbutts point out my spelling, its quasi-ebonics (referring to ignant)

ps try to find some else dissatisfied, not to mention, why you lazy whinners cry over a little extra work or a few bucks I protect your freedom

Chris Im sure you werent implying that I am the dumb so and so, lets start comparing college degrees and education first

By jms (68.107.182.165) on Monday, May 24, 2004 - 06:17 pm:

Blow me Roger, I offered you that header out of the kindness of my heart only because you pleaded to the board, a header I purchased from Ken Baker (out of a racer he said, also not knowing it didnt fit perfectly, as neither of us had mounted it), then I gave your ungreatful ass a partial refund

but we appreciate your 2 ignant cents, can you say atkins, ive seen your pictures

By Zippy (Zippy) (12.106.14.107) on Monday, May 24, 2004 - 09:40 am:

I can't say that I know the particulars of the case but Bryan took good care of me and sent me a great product. When I dealt with JMS I was extremely unsatisfied. I think that JMS has a real credibility gap and I wouldn't listen to him or do business with him. Bryan is Great!

By chris ingham (Cingham) (207.69.139.155) on Monday, May 24, 2004 - 12:33 am:

JMS Cool it!
You sent in a CORE!... After the run of 1200 gears were done. Your are very selfish to think that Bryan must make up a limited run of gears just to please you. Bryan has done lots of work for me and never once had a problem. Complete engines, infact my landlord was so impressed He is considering shipping him a 1964 TR4 engine to do. If you need a core gear back let me know and I will send you one.. otherwise your just being a Jerk.

By jms (68.107.182.165) on Saturday, May 22, 2004 - 03:04 pm:

never sent my EB3 adj. cam gear, after nearly one year and lots of emails, you SUCK!
