Richard,
I would have them balanced. It is so much nicer at highway speeds. If there is a nasty vibration, you don't have to blame the tires, but I have known weights to come off and cause a vibration.
Hope this helps.

Thanks guys.. I'll have a look at walmart and if not there i'll check out the delta one. Should I invest in balancing the new wheels?

Richard,
I was just in Wal-mart here in Calgary and in their doorway they had a whole cart of tires that fit our cars (12's). The tread was respectable, and were advertised at 29 bucks a tire too. Try Wal-mart maybe?

there are some really cheap tires available from NTW. (National Tire Wholesale) in North Delta.
Last time I called them, they told me those tires are on "special" $29 a tire. They were some Kumho 155/80/12 tires.

Hey Folks, I'm looking for some new rubber.. I like the look of the retro snow tire rims, so I'm just gonna paint them and put some new tires on them.. What's out there for tires for stock 12' rims? any reccomendations? I plan to take it out gravel and rough tarmac driving if that helps with my choices. The ones I have now are so rotten and bald that I don't want to put any more miles on them. I live in Victoria BC if that narrows the choices at all.
