Great, thanks for all the insight. Not sure what way I'll go yet. I'll start by going to pick your parts.

Early 90's Prelude seats. Very plentiful and cheap to buy. You can swap them onto the stock rails or bolt them in as they are. Real sporty, yet comfortable with adjustable side bolsters, lumbar, head rests, etc. The only negative thing is the bolsters are big so its a bit tight sliding in around the wheel.

You can get almost any seat to fit if you have some basic metalwork tools (tap and die set, cutoff wheel, bandsaw or hacksaw, some plate steel and a good grinder). I like the original interiors so I stayed that route just so I didn't have to do so much tapping and plate fabrication. Seats are almost all the same size in similar class cars.. I found the 90's civics and the little firefly and chevy sprint seats were good, but the mounts are amazingly different when I went poking around the boneyard. Basically, you'd have to keep the rails you have and make a plate to put on top of it, then mount the seat to the plate. The bigger the bolsters (side pads) on the seats the harder it will be to get in and out of the car. $1500 is pretty insane for just seat covers if you just wanted a stock fabric pattern, but I could understand if you wanted leather with custom piping and new foam or something (I'm guessing you'll be around $3000 for all that).. I'd shop around a bit..

I wanted to get my 78 seats redone but it costs way too much ($1500Cdn). Any of you put in some nice acura or other newer seats that fit easily? Also rear seat options too please.
